PARIS DOES VEGAS: Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, stars of Fox network's 'The Simple Life,' will help count down the final moments of 2003 on 'America's Party,' airing live on New Year's Eve from Las Vegas.
Ashanti, Metallica, Puddle of Mud, Hootie and the Blowfish and Keith Urban will perform, Fox announced. The show will be broadcast from the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino.
NICOLE GOT OVER IT: Nicole Kidman says she was so humiliated after her split with actor-husband Tom Cruise that she had to be coaxed out of bed to go back to work.
'I sort of thought at that time that I was going to curl up in a ball and just never get out of bed,' the actress told Australian television's Nine network. 'But I have two kids, and I had to get out of bed.' "
